The postman delivered the award to Belgium!

Hi all,

A couple of weeks ago the mailman delivered us a real heavy package!  When we first unwrapped the box filled with papers and a trophy, some of the other teachers thought we were acting when we roughly had to drop the trophy hidden in it to the table. They had no clue the trophy was really thát heavy!

The kids in Qworzó were really impressed by this trophy, not only by its weight, but mostly for the fact other pupils had volunteered to create this and send it all the way to Belgium! That's REALLY impressive!

That's why we want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Sarka and her students over there in the Czech Republic!

Thank you to all who may have contributed to the creation/dispatching of this award!

Thank you all for making ECR-2012 so successful and I look forward to working with you all again next year after a relaxing summer vacation!

Here's a little thank you word in semi-English from a couple of my students, showing the trophy:

And here a the very creative inventors of the trophy:

Have an excellent vacation everybody!

The votes have been counted!!!

Just to inform you all, every country has sent in their votes and all of the votes have been counted!

So, tomorrow my students and I can record the ECR-2012-newsflash in which we will announce the winner of this years’ competition!

This newsflash will be published on the blog at Monday January 30th at 11:00 Brussels time, so everyone of you gets to know their position in the final ranking then.  We will show you the European Chain Reaction 2012 then too, and it will be a real nice one, since you all were extremely creative this year!  I hope all of you will be pleased with the outcome!

On Tuesday I will upload an overview in a votes-table, so all of you can see how many points you received from which countries.  (I won’t publish this on Monday to hold the excitement.  Now all of you are obliged to watch the newsflash if you want to know your place in the rankingJ!)

Best wishes,

Dave

Iceland's chain 2012

Hello partners
Here is our chain reaction year 2012. The 5th grade worked at it this time. They were very interested in doing it. Their teamwork was good and they made a nice chain just by them selves. They had great fun doing it and are eager to watch the other chains and give points.
Take a look :-)

The European Chain Reaction 2012 from Bulgaria

Dear friends, "Cvetni Pesachinki” Kindergarten from Bulgaria is delighted to show you its first participation into The European Chain Reaction 2012.

Nine Bulgarian children aged 4-6 years have worked together as a team and fully unaided have created their first chain reaction with toys from the school. We hope you will enjoy their achievements and will like them. While the children were working on project European Chain Reaction 2012, they were amassing scientific experience, were really happy and were having great fun.

Have fun watching the video!

We wish all success!

ECR12 Germany

Dear ECR team!

With last year's chain reaction we explored the length of our school on the first floor.

This year we decided to check out the other dimensions by starting from the upper garden, quickly entering and crossing the newly built extension and concluding our chain reaction ouside again on the lower premises close by our sheep.
15 pupils worked for 5 days on this chain reaction (during their holidays, that is!).

Unfortunately, we had to cope with a very difficult weather situation this week, so we were not able to shoot our chain reaction in one take due to heavy wind, rain and even some snow. For this reason, there are some obvious cuts in our video. Nonetheless, we hope you will enjoy our presentation.

Scotland's Chain Reaction

Hello everyone!

Yester Primary School from Scotland proudly present their own entry for the 2012 European Chain Reaction Contest!

Twenty five pupils from our primary 5/6 class (9 and 10 year olds) collaborated very well with each other and worked very hard, and entirely on their own, to create this entry, which we do hope you will enjoy!

Let's all remember that to create a chain reaction from nothing takes a lot of work, and we already think that the other chain reactions we have watched are all excellent, so good luck everyone, and well done for all your hard work!

The Spanish Chain Reaction.

We have made what we have. Some mistakes, but we learned a lot about effort, teamwork and resourcefulness. We have suffered, but mostly we have fun. Thank you for this extraordinary experience that binds us all.
Best regards and a good new year.
